BarCamp Nuernberg

Ever heard of “BarCamp“?
In case you are uninformed and not up to date (like me a few days ago) let me explaing and enlighten you: It’s an international network of conferences (or should I say unconferences?). The specialty about BarCamps is that they basically take the open source idea and expand it into tech conferences. Therefore BarCamps are different from normal conferences because:
- the conference is free
- everyone who participates contributes something to the conference
- participants are often young, passionate and innovative open source developers
And what can I tell you? I think the idea is really great. And there’s a BarCamp coming up in Nuernberg on December ’06, more precicely the 16th to 17th. Check out the official website for more information.
